  1. The black and white gave the film a nice touch. There was no introduction and I feel like it would have been nice to ease into the subject.

  2. Black and white was an interesting touch. The B-Roll of his documents was really nice also.

  3. Nice framing and angles. I liked the black and white. The background is interesting, I think it gives it a nice rugged feel that plays into the story nicely.

I could have used more b roll.

  4. The moving of the camera angle adds a good dynamic. The B-roll footage from the helicopter was really cool. I missed where you told us who this guy is...my fault maybe. Like to hear more about who he is as a person

  5. Interesting that you chose to film in black & white. It adds the the style and aesthetic you were going for. Having pictures of him in his uniform really would've added to that.
I like that you chose to film the interview from different angles, it helped to break up the long bits of speaking. I really liked the b-roll you used, too.

  6. I like the coloring you used for the video.. It gives a rough/old-time feel. Good job incorporating a good amount of b-roll. I like that you changed camera angles on the interviewee, but feel it could've occurred more often. It was still a well balanced doc with steady camera use and nice transitions. Good Job!

  7. I liked the B-roll that you used. I think that it really fit the piece. I think that having the piece in black and white was an effective choice, considering the subject matter. I liked the framing in the interview. I also liked the variety of angle shots on the subject. Really liked the interview subject his story was very interesting.

  8. It was good insight on the training that goes through joining the military. It isn't all about shooting and killing. I enjoyed hearing about his first hand experiences. B roll of the military object was good to see. He did ramble a little bit and I didn't see the importance of some stuff he said. Also I didn't think this needed to be black and white, it dulls down the engaging subject.

  10. love the B & W style and the b-roll footage is a great transition from the interview, more b-roll would help make the film more interesting

  11. I liked the B-roll you got of his certificates from his time in the military, especially the old footage from the war. I thought the framing could have been a little better for some of the interview sections.

  12. Your documentary reminds of a old western film because it's in black and white and he wears his cowboy hat the whole time, cool. But I was kind of lost because at first I didn't know what he was talking about.
